I first heard of the usefulness of sternum pull-ups towards improving muscle-up performance from my colleague Milko Gergiev, Bulgaria’s top conditioning coach. Here is a video I shot a few years back of him doing 9 muscle-ups with great form.
Prior to that, I had read an article by Charles Poliquin mentioning this exercise. Poliquin himself was inspired by the great Vince Gironda if I recall correctly. However I never found a comprehensive guide on doing the sternum pull-up, much less on u

Mario Lopez's Knockout Fitness Workout Routine: You Might As Well Call Him Super Mario!
Mario Lopez’s workout has been the subject of much debate. The actor, who has consistently maintained a lean and muscular body similar to the physique of Mark Wahlberg, most recently displayed his toned physique in Dancing with the Stars.
Boxing Workouts to Shed Body Fat
Mario Lopez would spar all the time to burn body fat and keep his conditioning up. He would often fight with amateur fighters trying to make it in boxing. He claims to have sparred with Oscar De La Hoya, James Toney

Eat Stop Eat - How to Lose Fat and Preserve Your Muscles Without Traditional Dieting
I found out about Brad Pilon's ebook Eat Stop Eat from my friend Rusty Moore. I had a few weeks before my summer vacation trip and he wrote a post in which he mentioned the eat stop eat book.
So I decided to get it and was amazed how easy it was to follow the plan. I quickly lost 5-7lbs and kept it off during the vacation even though I ate whatever and whenever I liked there. It was hardly a diet

Intermittent Fasting - Does It Make You Weaker in the Gym?
It is a Monday morning, just got back from a walk in the cold with my Labrador Lucky. Over the weekend I had some time to catch up on my reading. I decided to motivate myself a little more for my fat loss transformation by rereading Brad Pilon's Intermittent Fasting Book as it is an integral part of my plan.
One of the cool things I was reminded about fasting is that you can workout while you are doing it. In fact, Brad not only recommends that you workout three times during the week when fa

Craig Ballantyne On Fat Loss, Home Workouts, Diet Vs. Exercise, And The Mindset of Success
Question 1: Could you share a few things about yourself and how you came across the methodology behind Turbulence Training?
Craig Ballantyne: Like most folks in the fitness industry, I played a lot of sports when I was younger. That led to weight training. From there, I realized I wanted to be a strength coach in professional sports.
I went to school for Kinesiology, which then led to a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology. Along the way I studied what made a good NHL Strength Coach (th

Core Training - The Arch Position Gives You Strong Core Muscles and a Healthy Back
Have you ever had lower back problems? Like some sort of pain or pinching sensation? I know I have. In fact one of the first injuries I had was back in 8th grade when I started getting serious in my basketball training.
I was running and all of a sudden changed directions and felt something weird in my lower back.
A Kind of Pinching.
It was a very nagging sensation and I tried all sorts of things - like massaging my lower back and resting.
But the pain persisted.

Jason Statham and Amy Smart in Crank - Double Workout Inspiration To Train Like Your Life Depends On It
Christmas is coming. I’m slacking and enjoying it. So there goes another non-training goof off post. Can’t wait to have some of those delicious cookies tonight by the way...
[The guy's been one of my favorite actors ever since I saw Transporter. He seems to play almost the same type of character in all of his movies - an ass kicking driver/hitman/former spec ops guy. I don't mind it all lol. Speaking of Transporter, can't wait for the third installment.]
Anyway, I saw another cool m
